General configurations for qdPM

qdPMThere are many configuration changes you can make to Projects and Tasks etc.  This article gives an overview of the possible configurations.


General Configurations

Expand the Configuration section in the left pane and inspect the following sections.

  1. General > General
    1. Here you can configure the following items:
      1. Main Administrator Password.
  2. General > Features
    1. Here you can enable or disable the following features:
      1. Project Phases.
      2. Project Versions.
      3. Task Groups.
      4. Edit Task Comments date (disabled by default).
  3. Projects > Status
    1. You can create, edit and sort the Project statuses from:
      1. Open (default)
      2. On Hold
      3. Closed
      4. Cancelled
  4. Projects > Types
    1. You can create, edit and sort the Project statuses from:
      1. Support
      2. New Site
      3. Internal
  5. Projects > Default Phases
    1. You can create, edit and sort the collections of Project Phases from:
      1. New Site
      2. Support
  6. Projects > Phase Status
    1. You can create, edit and sort the Phase statuses from:
      1. Open (default)
      2. Completed
      3. On Hold
      4. Cancelled
  7. Projects > Versions Status
    1. You can create, edit and sort the Version statuses from:
      1. Done
      2. Open (default)
  8. Projects > Extra Fields
    1. You can create, edit and sort any extra fields, including some important dates:
      1. Live URL
      2. Test URL
      3. Review Brief (date)
      4. Design
      5. Development
      6. Site Test
      7. UAT
      8. Go Live
  9. Tasks > Status
    1. Task statuses are grouped (open, done, closed).
  10. Tasks > Types
    1. You can create, edit and sort types of tasks:
      1. Change Priority
      2. Changes
      3. Defects
  11. Tasks > Labels
    1. You can create, edit and sort the Task Labels from:
      1. Change
      2. Plugin
      3. Task
      4. Bug
      5. Idea
      6. Quote
      7. Issue
  12. Tasks > Priority
    1. You can create, edit and sort Task Priorities from:
      1. Unknown
      2. Low
      3. Medium (this was misspelt)
      4. High
      5. Urgent
  13. Tasks > Tasks Listing
    1. Here you can select what columns will be visible in task listings by default.
  14. Tasks > Extra Fields
    1. Here you can add custom fields for your Tasks.
  15. Tickets > Departments
    1. Here you can add your own departments with responsibility for addressing Tickets.
  16. Tickets > Status
    1. Task statuses are grouped (open, done, closed).
  17. Tickets > Types
    1. You can create, edit and sort Ticket Types from:
      1. Request a Change
      2. Report a Bug
      3. Ask a Question
      4. Raise an Issue
  18. Tickets > Extra Fields
    1. Here you can add custom fields for your Tickets.
  19. Discussions > Status
    1. You can create, edit and sort Discussion Statuses from:
      1. Open
      2. Closed
  20. Discussions > Extra Fields
    1. Here you can add custom fields for your Tickets.
