Adding a PayPal Footer

moodleIf you are providing courses that students will pay for using PayPal, you might like to add the PayPal logo as a footer.  This may reassure some users that you are using this popular method for payment.  For this article I used the Clean theme.

PayPal Banners

Start by choosing the banner to suit your requirements by visiting https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/logo-center.

  1. Click Get the source code for the banner that you like.
  2. Copy the source code that appears.
  3. On your Moodle site, go to Site Administration > Appearance > Themes > Clean.
  4. In the Footnote editor, click the Show more buttons button.
  5. Click the HTML button.
  6. Paste the source code.

Here is an example code for the PayPal banner that I liked.

<!-- PayPal Logo --><table border="0" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="0" align="center"><tr><td align="center"></td></tr><tr><td align="center"><a href="https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-popup" title="How PayPal Works" onclick="javascript:window.open('https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-popup','WIPaypal','toolbar=no, location=no, directories=no, status=no, menubar=no, scrollbars=yes, resizable=yes, width=1060, height=700'); return false;"><img src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/webstatic/mktg/Logo/AM_mc_vs_ms_ae_UK.png" border="0" alt="PayPal Acceptance Mark"></a></td></tr></table><!-- PayPal Logo -->
