Users can't access files
Start by logging on to your ClearOS server with an admin account.
- Go to System > Settings > Services.
- Check to see which services are running.
- At the time of writing this article, snortsam and smb had stopped, and wouldn't start.
- Stop the dnsmasq service.
- Start the dnsmasq service.
- Start smb
- Start snortsam.
So you can see that I needed to restart the dnsmasq service, before I could get smb and snortsam up and running.
