Project management
With this extension, you can provide a platform for project management. Learn how to install Joomla extensions to get yourself started.
Visit the Joomla extensions site to review Projectfork and to get the latest version.
Installation
Install the following:
com_projectfork_2100.zip (600 kb)
Configuration
Log into the back-end of your Joomla site.
- Go to Menus > (choose a menu location).
- Click New.
- Select Menu Item Type: Projectfork.
- Give the menu item a Title: (eg Projects).
- Click Save.
- Go to Components > Projectfork.
- Click Continue and install without example data.
- Go to Config > Panels.
- Unpublish Did you know? and Controlpanel news.
- Go Config > Sections.
- Click the Edit button for Projects.
- Expand the Logo settings section.
- Max. logo width: 180
- Max. logo height: 43
- Click Save.
- Click the Edit button for Tasks.
- Expand the Milestone settings section.
- Uncategorized tasks: Hide.
- Click Save.
Adding extra functions
Here are couple of examples that extend Projectfork.
- Download
mod_approve_tasks.zip (12 kb).
- In the back-end, go to Components > Projectfork.
- Go to Config > Mods.
- Browse to the downloaded file and click Install.
- Publish the mod.
- Download
process_hide_buttons.zip (1.2 kb).
- Go to Config > Processes.
- Browse to the downloaded file and click Install.
- Publish the process.
Start a new project
- Go to Projects > New.
- Give your project a Title.
- Click Save.
There is now a new drop-down in the sidebar that allows you to select your new project as a workspace. Bear in mind that many of the buttons will now operate on your selected workspace.
