What is Microsoft Windows?

Windows XP has been around since 2002 and it is the most common operating system in schools.  Windows Vista was released January 2007, and Windows 7 is expected October 2009

Windows Server 2003 is probably the most common server platform in schools.  Server 2008 R2 is expected fourth quarter 2009.
