Software Modules

What are Software Modules?

clearosSoftware modules allow you to selectively install the functionality that you need.  This article describes the process of adding new software modules.

Add a new software module

  1. Browse to your ClearOS server (eg. https://192.168.1.1:81).
  2. Log on with an administrator account.
  3. Go to ClearCenter > Software > Software Modules.
  4. Select the module that you'd like to install and click Go and confirm.
  5. Depending on the size of the module it will now take a short time to install.

avatar Unhelpful. I'm presently running an experimental instance of ClearOS to see if it fits my needs, and don't want to register it unless and until I install it on its server. But it seems that unless I register I can't see what modules are available for it.

avatar Hi Tom, You can choose to install all of the modules, as part of the installation process (see the "Install ClearOS article for more detail). Hope that helps!
